Violent 03:46
all along the cliff came crashing waves spitting angry foam swell up and collide, day after day you could shatter stone i watched towers in the tide collapsing, but never changing it's so violent in the back and forth, that storm that was raging when the road was flat, you gave her names warm inside a home nothing here can stand to stay the same you chill me to the bone i watched houses on a hill collapsing, but never changing it's so violent in the back and forth, that storm isn't fading get out of my head get out of my head get out of my head get out of my head get out of my head get out of my head
2.
breathe every color in the room deep into you we lie surrounded by your magic marker lists of things to do just breathe the long day out your alien mouth i’ll melt the stress behind your shoulders in the sleepy afternoon we’ll both be older soon hold me close, taste that truth hold me close such sweet fruit you liked cold, cold sunshine in the fall we were wrapped up in your sunshine yellow walls we’re still so new and i found out i’m not alone, hey turn around decide the way you’re facing your mind is always changing eyes soft, you take your glasses off don’t look ahead to see that something’s wrong the clock won’t stop we don’t have long i don’t wanna go hold me close, you just know hold me close and breathe in slow watching cold, cold sun shine on the wall holding up a house that’s gonna fall the rubble rises up so tall the garden cries, the flowers crawl let the dead sunshine burn out the fall we’ve still got time, let's spend it all
3.
oo, i won’t go you are all i know i will travel any road to always be with you and oh, time will slow when we’re finally alone we won’t change, we’ll only grow i’ll always be with you
4.
it's been so long we've been at this so long and even when you're gone i hear you in every song where'd you go? know i should let you ebb and flow but spring is cold last week i lost control i'm sorry, it somehow took me all this time to realize i'm in it til the end i'm in it til the end somehow took me all this time to realize now those feelings i suppressed are burning in my chest so won't you come and fill some summer days it's been so long but we still have time to waste there's so much more to do i’ll walk through every street with you we'll make it through we've always made it through starlight in a spoon to cure the distance but i'm still missing how your eyes glisten starlight in a spoon to cure the distance you're still missing speak and i’ll listen come cure the distance
5.
You Echo 03:38
i dried in the sun and hid my face you sat in the shade i dried in the sun and hid my face those lines in the sand were washed by rain your heart is the same we slept in a storm and felt the ground shake maybe i've been home for far too long by the time you echo i'll be gone and if you decide to stretch your arms you can come and find me, i’ll be lost we split on the trail to look for ghosts you swore they were close we flattened the leaves beneath our toes i wanted a way to take up space i swallowed the waves i dried in the sun and hid my face
6.
Morning 02:59
day brings distraction when things start to happen i forget for a while and night lulls my longing a little a haze and a pillow, fooling my mind but in the morning i have to be honest i look in the mirror and know where my heart is i wake up and can't keep the lie up spend the rest of the day in denial, but i still love you noises are welcome they drown out the questions that fill my insides when it's quiet, so i turn up the music and hide from the truth, at least til the sunrise
7.
Monhegan 04:24
far away from what’s familiar high up on another bluff landed on a rocky island way out where the ocean’s rough it’s still early (a citrus babble) i’ve got time (people stay here) creaky calling (i’m not falling) bony climb (i’ll be fine) forward through a liquid forest stumble til i’m out of breath quaintness through somebody’s curtains maybe it’s a place to rest a place to rest, i don’t need a place to rest i see yellow– golden lights on in your tower i watch your shadow holding mine stars falling– flying, they were ours dead days with no one keeping time toss out all the wasted water i'll be on a sweeter shore all the rusty ships are stranded bled out on the ocean floor i don’t need a place to rest
8.
Bridge 03:03
can't wait to fall, we won't get old we strip to shorts and start to shiver and if my friend from long ago jumped off a bridge, i would go with her looking at another face everything is such a waste i don't really know what it's all for i’ll be good another year probably should get outta here but every time i run it leaves me sore played through the night, we won’t be scared we start to blush but it's on purpose start counting down, drop through the air she doesn't see below the surface
